Our Story: Empowering Adventure at Anxiety Girl Travels

  • Hey there, fellow wanderer! I’m Alicia Pringle, the voice behind Anxiety Girl Travels—a travel blog for anyone who’s ever overthought a packing list, triple-checked their passport mid-flight, or googled “Is turbulence normal???” at 35,000 feet. (Spoiler: it is. But yes, I still check. Every time.) Why I Started This Blog Anxiety Girl Travels was born out of my own travel mishaps, triumphs, and “Oh no, did I forget my adapter again?” moments. I’m a travel-loving, slightly introverted, type-A planner with a deep love for both spreadsheets and spontaneity (a strange combo, I know—but it works). Over the years, I’ve explored everything from the chaotic charm of London’s tube system to the quiet magic of Filipino islands—all with anxiety in tow. I realized something along the way: anxious travelers aren’t rare. We just don’t always see ourselves represented in glossy travel content. So I decided to change that. What You’ll Find Here At Anxiety Girl Travels, I don’t pretend to have it all figured out—but I do believe in sharing what’s helped me embrace the journey, hiccups and all. This space is equal parts guidebook, pep talk, and real-talk confessional. You’ll find: Ultimate Packing Lists – Curated for the overplanners (like me!) who want to be prepared without bringing their entire closet. Travel Spotlights – My favorite destinations that cater to different comfort zones—whether you're a bold adventurer or a cautious explorer. Honest Travel Guides – Tips to help you navigate travel stress with confidence, curiosity, and a touch of humor. A Final Note from Your Resident Anxiety Girl This blog isn’t about pretending anxiety doesn’t exist—it’s about showing up anyway. About boarding the flight, taking the leap, and reminding yourself that bravery doesn’t always look bold. Sometimes, it looks like you—Googling boarding gate info while sipping peppermint tea with shaking hands, but still showing up. So if you’re looking for a space that embraces the nervous energy, celebrates the wins (big and small), and turns every “Oh no!” into a “You got this,” you’ve found your people. Or, well—your person. Let’s adventure, awkwardness and all. ✈️🌍✨ With courage and carry-ons, Alicia Founder, Overplanner-in-Chief, and your fellow anxious explorer
